map:
Imbedded into a mound of earth near the site of the former station Görlitzer Bahnhof, Bad am Spreewaldplatz reeks of the touch of a nineteen-eighties architect. More functional than fantastic, the complex has a 25m training pool, a baby pool, a wave machine, solarium and sauna facilities, slides, diving boards and jet pools. Particularly nice is the poolside café where you can refresh your weary body in between the different activities.

With a number of different pools, a 3m diving board, a disabled pool, a tanning studio, a sports hall, a bowling hall, a fitness studio and several other features (in fact everything that the modern day fitness fanatic demands), the SEZ is one Berlin's top venues for sport and relaxation. The highlight of the complex is the pool outside which is beautiful on a sunny day but a test of will on cold winter nights. Unfortunately lacks a 50m pool.
