Family & Education

Despite Berlin's rough urban edges, there are all sorts of exciting activities for families and kids,
from the Museum for Travel and Technology to the various Children's Farms scattered around the city.

But what if both parents work? What if the child doesn't speak German yet? How to find a babysitter or an au pair? Or bi-lingual nursery school?

And for older kids, school becomes more the focus of daily life. Luckily, there are several schools in this city that address the needs of the growing bilingual or polyglot community.

University is of course a whole different issue. Berlin has well over 100,000 students from almost all corners of the earth. And if you do not happen to speak German, then don't despair, we will tell you where and how you can get by until "auch Sie Deutsch lernen."
